This recent photo session featured an Insta-famous Golden Retriever named Porter. With over 41K followers, Porter isn't just any Golden—he's a social media star! His mom, Paula, traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to visit friends in Beaufort, and of course, to have a memorable photo session.
Porter had a lot to share about himself:
"I am my family's 5th Golden retriever. We are all dog lovers, but my mom is a crazy dog person. She does all the training, grooming, and everything else. She trained me to be a therapy dog and takes me on my visits. I am a very small golden, only 51 lbs. I am very outgoing and friendly. I love people. I can be fearful of new things sometimes, but if I am, I just run to my mom."
For Porter’s portraits, his mom was looking for that Golden Hour, color-filled sky, windblown fur look. So, we headed to The Point at Emerald Isle. I was thrilled to capture Porter’s essence. He was an amazing model, and we visited a few nearby locations before heading to the beach for some running and playing.
