I've always loved to take my dogs with me everywhere. Yes, I'm that kind of crazy dog person. But the more you expose them, the better behaved they are in the “real world”. So, if I have some errands to run around town, I love to take Eames out with me. It allows him to burn energy while still having structure.
Oddly enough, I never take my dogs to the big pet stores. It's slightly overwhelming with all the smells, noises, and people wanting their dogs to meet mine – we don't do on-leash greetings. That's a topic for another time.
I will say I am mindful if I see a service animal. I will go a different direction. That’s a working dog and I do not want to interfere with it’s job.
